Dr Abdul Hamid Sheikh is an Educationist and completed his studies at the University of Kashmir, with a specialisation in South Asia, Central Asia and Kashmir: Past and Present. He qualified for the National Eligibility Test (NET) in 2013 and State Eligibility Test (SET) in 2017 for Assistant Professor in history. The author has a number of publications to his credit in reputed journals and worked on the Kashmir Silk Route project. He has participated in number of Workshops, Seminars and International conferences.
