Silvia Mayr is SADF’s Research Assistant. She holds an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degree (EMJMD) in Mediterranean Relations from Universitat Autonoma of Barcelona, Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and Université Paul Valery of Montpellier, which she concluded with a dissertation on EU policies for returning foreign fighters from the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria. She also obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Middle Eastern Cultures and Languages (Arabic, Hebrew) from Ca’ Foscari University.
